A natural pool surrounded by hydrangeas at the foot of a multi-strand waterfall, a geosite classified by the Azores Geopark, located on a section of the official PR02FLO trail near Fajã Grande. It is reached by a 20 to 30 minute walk from a parking area, without covering the full Lajedo-Fajã Grande route.

For those who want Flores' most spectacular waterfall without committing to the full 13.2 km of the PR02FLO trail.
When to pass
Heavy rain (the access path becomes muddy and slippery) or if you're looking for a very short outing: allow 2h round trip including the approach walk.

Miguel recommends this outing rather than the full PR02FLO trail (13.2 km, 3h30) when the goal is the waterfall itself rather than the full coastal hike: it's the short, accessible version of the same official trail.
